Leo Panipucci is a very busy architect based in offices in Brighton, designing property in both the UK and overseas.
He's developed a wealth of architectural knowledge and continues to do so by running his very successful business.

Q: What would you consider your biggest achievement in your career to date?
A: Going out on my own
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
A: All aspects, meeting people taking instructions and creating and designing, working in different countries as well as the U.K.
Q: What do you least like about your job?
A: Chasing for fees, fortunately this does not happen very often. Indecisive people and those with a selective memory
Q: How do you motivate your staff?
A: I am fortunate that all my staff are to some degree self motivated. I try and provide a relaxed and friendly office environment
Q: What was your first job?
I was a draughtsman working for a concrete manufacturing company who produced building blocks, concrete motorway bridges and signs
Q: Which business man or woman do you most admire?
A: There are many but the true entrepreneurs such as Anita Ruddick, Alan Sugar, Richard Branson
Q: What is your favourite holiday destination and why?
A: There are many and each one for its own particular characteristics, ranging from Italy, UK, Greece, Mexico, Australia etc
Q: How long have you been in the industry?
Over 40 years.
Q: Favourite food?
Enjoy the variety provided by different parts of the world, would find it difficult to choose “the condemned man’s last meal” ... hopefully this will never happen to me!!
Q: Hobbies?
When I can, painting in watercolours, trying to play the guitar and photography.
Q: What was the last book you read?
Judge and Jury by James Patterson
Q: What do you feel is your company’s USP?
Catering or designing for the individual – every site is unique and demands its own unique solution.
Q: What skills and knowledge do you pride yourself on?
A: Communication, problem solving, designing, open mindedness, charm, cheekiness, seriousness, forward thinking and being human
Q: What did you want to be when you were growing up?
In the formative years I wanted to join the Army, then I stumbled into the construction industry and wanted to become an architect.
Q: What subjects did you enjoy most at school?
A: Art, woodwork, metal work and P.E.
Q: What has been your most defining moment?
Professionally it was qualifying as an architect.
Q: What guests would you invite to a dinner party?
Leonardo da Vinci, Billy Connolly, Sophia Loren, David Attenborough, Pavarotti, Richard Branson, Dalhai Lama, Mussolini and The Queen.
Q: What music do you listen to?
Varied from Heavy Rock, Country, Classical, Opera not too keen on Jazz.
Q: What do you think of reality shows like The Apprentice?
Cleverly stage managed programme purely designed to make Alan Sugar look good. Its actually about giving an insight to the man’s managerial/decision making skills.
