Q: What would you consider your biggest achievement in your career to date?
A: Making the break from full time employment and setting myself up successfully in my own.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
A: Sourcing and working with beautiful materials, finishes and products. Design and technology are always on the move and it's very exciting finding something new and anticipating a good use for it.

Q: What motivates you?
A: The idea that making the tiniest of changes in design can make an enormous difference to the everyday life of the user.

Q: What was your first job?
A: Lond shifts serving tables at a deep pan pizza restaurant when I was 16. It's a tough job and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Q: What is your favourite holiday destination and why?
A: It has to be the South West of France - I recently got married there, in a beautiful location overlooking the Dordogne Valley.

Q: Describe how you spend a typical weekend off?
A: Frantically trying to juggle renovating our house, beating back the weeds in the garden, looking after the horse I share and taking time to relax and cook lovely food with my husband.

Q: What made you want to get into the development industry?
A: Realising that there is room in the market for well considered and designed showhouses.

Q: What drives you in your job?
A: The finished product - when you step back and fell proud of your work.

Q: How long have you been in the industry?
A: 10 years. I studied at Middlesex University and left in 1996.

Q: What is your favourite food?
A: Vietamese - Kingsland Road in Shoreditch is home to some of the best authentic restaurants and most delicious, cheap food in town.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Horse riding and cooking. I share an event horse at a stable in Epping Forest and I love to cook all sorts of dishes. I find both very therapeutic and rewarding.

Q: What was the last book you read?
A: The Complete Hafele.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
A: In a beautiful house with stables from which I'll be running my now well established and successful business.

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?
A: Probably my mum; she has always been a source of strength, optimism and love.
