The site was promoted as part of the small sites allocation which was ratified by the Inspector in November 2007 and ‘rubber stamped’ by Mid Sussex District Council in April 2008. (First phase 120 units and the second phase for 130 units).
The site is part of the overall allocation which was won at appeal and is a Greenfield site with sustainability without question. It is within a short distance of Hassocks mainline station and within 45 minutes of the local shopping facilities in the main High Street.
